About Us

What We Do

Our office evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages vision disorders that can impact reading, learning, and other activities required in daily life. For children or adults, the first step is a comprehensive Functional Vision Evaluation.

Depending on the type of problem found sometimes glasses can help. If glasses won't solve the vision problem, Optometric Vision Therapy may be indicated. Vision Therapy is much like “physical therapy”, but rather than treating the muscles of the body, it works on the eye-brain connection. A thorough examination with the doctor will determine the best course of care. If indicated, the doctor will prescribe an individualized treatment program of Optometric Vision Therapy.

To best prepare for you or your child’s Functional Vision Evaluation, check out our What to Expect page.

Coogee, Therapy Dog

Coogee (Ku-ji) is a four-and-a-half-year-old mini Whoodle (soft coated wheaten terrier-mini poodle mix). Therapy certified, she is friendly, playful, and loving. She enjoys visiting with patients and taking naps in her bed. Her coat is non-shedding, so she is hypoallergenic to most people. Outside the office, Coogee enjoys playing fetch, frolicking with her 2 and 4 legged cousins, and swimming!
